It is time for yet another exciting Twitter Spaces event! This time, with two awe-inspiring young Kazakh professionals in the nuclear disarmament field.
This time around, we will be hearing from Yerdaulet Rakhmatulla and Aigerim Seitenova.
Yerdaulet Rakhmatulla has been working with international and non-profit organizations for almost 4 years. He developed an interest in nuclear issues in 2021 while working at FES and helping to organize the the 1st Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Summer School for young scholars in Astana, Kazakhstan. Last year, Yerdaulet was a reviewer who contributed to the translation of the book: 'The Atomic Steppe: How Kazakhstan Gave Up Its Bomb', by Dr. Togzhan Kassenova from English into Kazakh.
Aigerim Seitenova is a Kazakhstan based human rights professional with over 4 years experience. Aigerim's interests are centered around intersecting areas such as human rights, disarmament and nuclear colonialism, WPS (women, peace and security) and YPS (youth, peace and security), critical approaches to international law, and peace activism, cross-culture education, de-colonial feminism and human rights advocacy.
